State Loan Repayment Program Application Now Open

The State Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) provides grants to states to operate their own loan repayment programs for primary care providers. New this year, SLRP grantees have the option to expand eligible disciplines and site types. Go to the SLRP Funding Opportunity Announcement for more information or to www.grants.gov to begin the application process. Applications are due June 5, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

2012 Corps Community Day, Save the Date: October 11, 2012

In October 2011, we celebrated the first annual Corps Community Day and it was a huge success! More than 75 events and activities were planned in 46 states and Puerto Rico to increase awareness of the Corps and support its mission to improve access to primary care services. Save the Date for this year’s celebration on October 11, 2012.

The National Health Service Corps is excited to announce the November 29-December 1, 2012 in Los Angeles, CA. 

Job Openings Expire Every 90 Days

All announcements for job openings, either existing or new, must now be managed through the NHSC Customer Service Portal. Existing positions will remain open in the Portal for 90 days. After 90 days, positions will automatically expire unless you extend the deadline through the Portal. 

NHSC Debuts Customer Service Portal to Sites

Eligible health care facilities may complete the NHSC Sites application with all required supporting documents online.
